  • Scope and Content
Jemima Carew has accompanied them to town as nurse, which the writer thinks is a good idea. She will be a good chaperone to the daughters [Jemima, Amabel and Selina Colleton] when Mrs Morel de Champemont is confined at the end of November. 'Poor thing, she seems very uncomfortable and is immensely large - I wish it may not be twins.' Kind order for the play [box at theatre] will afford much amusement, to the girls Colleton and to the little Cocks's that are still well - the baby having had measles the rest are now in expectation of it. They are all in hight glee at the thought of the pantomime of Harlequin and Poor Robin next Monday. Has not seen what is to be acted beyond Monday. Comments about the weather. Writer looks forward to seeing Lady de Grey at St. James' Square next month. Sir William [Knighton] is returned safe and well.
