- Scope and ContentObliged for news about the party at Spa. Mrs Colleton brought to the writer from Florence a beautiful alabaster cupid. About a fortnight ago, writer received an excellent account of Mrs Joseph Yorke [Catherine] and her patient from Eastnor. Has since heard a confused story that Mrs Joseph Yorke, in riding at Forthampton with the Waddingtons, had had a bad fall from her horse, but is thought now out of danger. In about 3 weeks Mrs Colleton gotes to Antony for a month, then returns and leaves for Italy in October. The Thomas Cocks's seem a fixture in Harley Street. Mention of the eclipse of the moon - it surprised the writer as it was not announced in any newspaper.
