Thank you for your letter with regard to the Paradine Charity. I note the last pension which will be paid to Mr. Robert Riding. With regard to Ann Collins Charity, a few years ago we had some money in hand owing to the Rent not being forthcoming and when Pensions were stopped. We recovered a large proportion of the Rent and to use up the money gradually we had nine recipients instead of eight. It is now time that we reverted to the eight which absorbs the annual sum coming in. Therefore I think it wise not to fill the vacancy that you mention as so far as I am aware there will still be eight recipients. Please find enclosed cheque value £43. 6s. 8d. in respect of Hawes and Dunham Charities.
