Susan and I came here on Tuesday and return on Monday.

Glad to hear that Wrest Park escaped from the tremendous storms. Reference to the newspaper columns devoted to ‘the horrid murders.’ Lord Sidmouth and his new married lady came to dinner on Thursday. [Henry Addington, 1st Viscount Sidmouth, married (secondly) Marianne Townsend in 1823) We left Tryphena poorly, but hear she is mending.’
