Thanks for the game and all kindness during visit to Wrest Park. The inn at St. Albans was tolerably comfortable. Brother came to dine on Sunday. He seemed quite surprised that the power of Ali Pacha had so speedily been crushed. Makes comment on the subject of the Ottomans and the possibility of Greek independence. Brother had received a letter from Sir Thomas Maitland, who had gone from Corfu to Naples, and sent a miserable account of the state of things there. [Some details given].
