  • Scope and Content
    These were addressed to Miss E Matthews, Sutton Hill Sutton, Sandy, from Fred [Skilleter]. Fred, we are told, was killed in the Great War, and Miss Matthews eventually married his brother. The first four have Biggleswade postmarks. "Fred" is Fred Skilleter, uncle of Mrs J Green [depositer]. After his death Miss Matthews married his brother, Hubert. She died not long after their marriage. (Information from Mrs Green, 1969).
