  • Scope and Content
Writer hopes her sisters will gain strength while in Tunbridge Wells. Mention of Lord Goderich going to Lincolnshire and the hope that Lady Goderich and ‘the little boy’ are recovered. Death of Seymour’s little girl; ‘for three weeks everything went on very prosperously when at the end of that time the poor little thing was taken with convulsions and died in a few hours time. The packet left Malta a week after the event, and Mrs & Mrs Bathurst determined to take a trip to Italy and visit Rome and Naples.’ Cannot make out from the newspapers whether the Kings troops have entered Brussels or not. The writer is afraid the disturbances there are very serious.
