Letter from Catherine Bathurst to Miss Hatchwell. ‘My sister Susan [Susannah] is gone out airing so I answer Lady de Grey’s obliging note.’ The writer hopes that her sister Tryphena is going on well. Mr Alexander assures this is the case, but fears her amendment will be tedious and the interval anxious. Thanks Lady de Grey for her kind offer – in the course of next week Tryphena would like a few more Tunbridge cakes.
