... his cottage or tenement with all edifices and buildings, and close of pasture thereunto belonging in Sharpenhoe, where William Johnson now lives, to use and behoof of said William Johnson for life, then to use of William Prentice of Carrington, Hertfordshire, labourer, and his heirs for ever ... cottage or tenement with buildings, yard, orchard etc. and close of pasture ground and lands in Sharpenhoe where Steven Hodson now lives, to use of said William Johnson for life, then to use of Martha Johnson, testator's kinswoman, and heirs for ever ... £10 each to the 5 children of brother William Johnson, i.e. Rebecka, Mary, Agnes, Elizabeth and Martha ... £5 each to John, Sara, Mary, Richard and Henry Rist, and £10 to Ellen Rist, all children of brother Richard Rist ... to brother Thomas Johnson £20 to be paid within one year of the death of brother William Johnson, that is £10 from each of the two cottages ... to said Agnes Johnson £20, of which £7..10s to come out of each of cottages above mentioned ... all rest of goods to brother William Johnson and kinsman William Printice, executors witnesses: William Filler senior, William Burre, Agnes Shepperd made 18 Jul 1677, proved Archdeaconry Bedford 10 May 1682
