Correspondence dated 1981 between Mr K.A. Odell of Odell's Shoes and the CRO concerning deeds to the site of the Odell family business at 8-12 St Cuthbert's Street. Gives information about William Brown who owned the building prior to 1797 and some speculation about long standing ownership by the Brown family who had been in St Cuthbert's since the early 17th century.
