[general remarks on health] "Left Brighton on 21st June ... got to Waymouth on the fourth day and remained their three days and from there to Sidmouth and stopt. there 3 days and from there to Exmouth and stopt. there one day and then to Exeter where we remained for 13 days left there for four days tour round the countrey went to Torquy and from there to Tor Bay and from thair to Dartmouth and stopt thair 2 days took the water for ten miles to Totness stopt thair one night and went from thair to Newton Bushel and from thair to Chudleigh to see Lord Cliffords house and the park and i think it is the butifullt place i ever saw in all our tour round and from thair back to Exeter on Tuesday knight and we go of a gain on Saturday for Hereford and on our touer for Cheltenham we think of getting to Cheltenham in a bout 5 days from our starting if thair is no fresh a raingment I was very much disappointed in Weymouth as i thought to find it a very butifull place but found it very different. Sidmouth and Exmouth are very gay places and butifull hills and mountains for many miles round. thair is some of the mountains that you may see down in to Cornwall and on the other side you may see down in to Wales and the Welsh mountains. Devonshier upon the averridge i think is the most delightfull country that i ever traveled through in my life for know sooner you are down one hill but you are gowing up a nother. Sometimes we walk for a mile or two to gether as the hills are so steep we cant get up them. We expect that Exeter will be in a great confuson tomorrow on account of the coronation as thair is a grand dinner and a ball for the evening and a verry grand lumination. I should be glad to hear from you are all well. I remain dear father your dutifull son George Duncombe" Please direct to Robert Pedder, Post Office, Cheltenham. The same as you did last year. 173 miles from London the road we have gone is 293 miles to Exeter
