- Scope and ContentOn return home, writer resumed his civil law studies. Deescribes the format and progress of his studies. Will soon be going to Edinburgh to attend private lectures on the law of nature with Mr Duncan, who is also to teach a short course of the pandects. Last winter, as well as law lectures, the writer attended a course in natural philosophy, and a course of lectures on logic and metaphysics. Also intends to read history this winter.
