Recitals:
Indenture of Mortgage in fee as in X752/6 (and nonpayment of the outstanding principal by the specified date therein) (24 Oct 1856)
Indenture of Further Charge as in X753/9 (and non payment thereof) (8 Dec 1858)
Indenture of Transfer of Mortgage securities and conveyance by assignment and grant as in X753/10 (2 Jul 1859)
That i) gave George Baron [the mortgagor] notice in writing of his intention to sell and that unless within 4 calendar months full payment were made in satisfaction of the said securities, he would proceed to make sale of the hereditaments, estates and rights comprised therein by virtue of the powers and provisions contained or given in or by the same (27 Aug 1859)
That the £400 or the interest thereof was not paid pursuant to the notice but still remains wholly due and unpaid
That in pursuance of the power of sale authorising him, i) caused the said hereditaments (see below) to be offered for sale by public auction at the George Inn, Shefford where ii) was the highest bidder and became purchaser at £270; and ii) not having taken any conveyance under his contract, now for a bonus of £9 agrees to relinquish and give up the same and the benefit thereof to iii)
Operative part:
Conveyance by grant from i), (in consideration of £270 paid to him by iii) and £9 paid to ii) by iii) at the same time), at the request of ii) and with his release and confirmation, to iii), her heirs and assigns of:
a) messuage situated in Ampthill Street, Shefford as in X753/6 a) et seq., together with the bakehouse and other outbuildings as mentioned in recital in X753/9; described here as late in the occupation of George Baron
Note:- two clauses have been initialled ‘G.A.’ in the margin by George Austin whose seal appears on the document
Dorse: receipted, signed, sealed and delivered by i) and ii) in the presence of George Austin of Shefford, solicitor
