To the left two woman and a child sit in a trap led by a pony; a young man holds the pony's bridle One of the women has been identified as Emily Davey and the child is identified as William Reginald Davey (born 1895). To the right of this group is a man sat on a the harvesting machine. Between the harvester and the horses that pull it sits a man identified as William Henry Davey (although William Henry could be the man holding the pony given the identification of his wife and child as occupants of the trap). A man in a bowler hat and two other farm workers complete the group. In the background there are buildings which have been identified as Cutliffe Grove and the new streets in Queen's Park.
