'He is really a very sensible child, and capable of learning very quick, but will be lost for want of a proper education if it is not very soon set about in ernest.'

Mr Gravenkop is really poorly this winter. Writer is to attend a charity performance of Othello with a large party [names listed]. The proceeds are for the Lying In Hospital. Captain Jack Tonyn is going to the East Indias commander of the cavalry which is sent there. The writer hears this is as good as two thousand a year.
