Deposition of William Mager, Sandy: lives at Stratford and is "a little in the gardening way". Lost eight ducks which he didn't see again for a month until he found six of them in the possession of Mr Waters of Dunton. He said he had bought them from Thomas Randall who "lives within 50 or 60 yards of me". Examination of Thomas Randall: "the ducks came upon my premises and I took them and sold them to Mr [Thomas] Waters at Dunton".
