Notes on probable site of Ramsey Abbey, Barton manor house collated from documents in CRO in response to an enquiry. The manor was established on dissolution of the monasteries and passed to the Norton family, thence to the Willes family. The writer concludes that the old Bury Farm, renamed Barton Rectory Farm is the most likely site.
