- Admin/biog historyThe Robert Bloomfield Society was established in 2000 to encourage and promote interest in Robert Bloomfield (1766-1823), the most successful of the self-taught 'peasant poets' of the Romantic period. The Society published a newsletter twice a year (copies are held in Bedford Central Library) and organised members outings. The Society closed down in April 2019 due to a lack of new members willing and able to take on the running of the society.
- Archival historyRecords were passed to Bedfordshire Archives by the membership secretary.
