    i) Rosa Matilda Lees, wife of Alfred Lees, Bedford, gentleman Alfred William Henry Lees, Bedford, gentleman ii) said Alfred Lees iii) Reverend Henry Smith Plevy Mumford, Belfast, Antrim, Moravian minister Reverend George Alfred Harold Mumford, Gomersal, Birstal, Yorkshire, Moravian minister iv) Emma Mumford, Gomersal, widow v) Edward Owen Carpenter, Bedford Bank, Bedford, gentleman Captain Lindesay Beaumont Beaumont, Crossland Fosse, Kempston [the Debenture trustees] vi) Newland and Nash Limited, Lurke Street, Bedford [the Company] recites: will of Henry Smith dated 1 January 1871 in which he bequeathed to his brother William Hill Smith, one moiety of his real and personal estate and the other half to be divided between his 4 sisters Sarah, Mary Ann, Emma and Eliza and his niece Rosa Matilda Lees (then called Rosa Matilda Flood). Will proved in Northampton District Probate Registry on 11 March 1871 : Emma Smith married Reverend William Mumford at St Paul’s Church, Bedford on 31 July 1861. he died 5 December 1889 whereas: by conveyance of 8 June 1872 between a) William Hill Smith, Sarah Smith, Mary Ann Smith, Emma Mumford, Eliza Smith and Rosa Matilda Lees, b) William Smail, c) said William Hill Smith, a) conveyed to b) to use of c) upon trust for sale, property later described : William Hill Smith made his will dated 13 September 1898. i) appointed executors and trustees. His property to be sold. He died 6 December 1898. Will proved 20 July 1899 : by deed of gift made 12 December 1898 between iv) and iii) her sons, she conveyed to them all the property to which she might become entitled under wills of her late brothers : by the Debenture Trust Deed of 14 August 1897 between vi) and v) certain lands were conveyed by the Company to the Trustees i) and iii), with confirmation of ii) and iv) convey to v) for £750 - ground in Lurke Street, in length from East to West 34 ft 2” and 72 ft from North to South - 2 messuages known as nos. 20 and 22 Lurke Street, late in occupations of –-- Wynn and Samuel Lamb and now of vi), together with stable and coach house recently erected in the occupation of vi) North: late Sarah Rawlings, now i) South:. Lurke Street East: vi) West: late Nathaniel Wells Small and now of --- covenant to produce copies of deeds mentioned signed: i), ii), iii) and iv) and seal of vi) witness: -- director., secretary witnesses: Frederick Sharman, John Camp(?), Albert Beldar(?) endorsed with acknowledgement of Rosa Matilda Lees
