- Scope and ContentInformation of John Barrick: lost deal boards from the yard of John Clark of Maulden, carpenter, about two months previously. The boards were sawn out by Joseph and Daniel Daniels of Maulden, sawyers. The day after they were sawn out, George, son of John Clark, came early in the morning to tell him that the boards had been stolen out of his father's locked barn. Identifies boards now in Clark's yard as his, other deal boards found in William Northwood's stable. Information of John Clark: gave the boards to the constable. Information of Joseph Daniels of Maulden, sawyer: cut deals for Mr Barrick and put them up end ways in John Clark's shop. Information of George Clark, son of John: contracted to do work for Northwood, who showed him deals which he was to use for the work, in a loft over his stable in Hather's yard. He brought them to his father's shop as they were needed. Examination of William Northwood: "I came honestly by the deals."
