Door of the County Gaol at the Bunyan Meeting. "This door was originally part of the old County Gaol at Bedford in which John Bunyan was confined for twelve years 1660-1672. On the taking down of that prison in 1801 it came into the possession of Mr William Berrill and in 1885 was presented to the Trustees of Bunyan Meeting by T G E Elger esquire, J.P."
