- Scope and Content'The French troops must be paid. If there is a bankructcy then perforce Bonaparte must, I should suppose, have a peace with England as well as her allies.' The poor of the writer's and neighbouring parishes are in great distress from the want of firing; no coal to be had till the Severn becomes navigable. The writer can furnish them with wood, but there is none ready cut, and the green wood will not burn. Concern about Agneta Yorke, who fell in her room and bruised herself.
