- Scope and ContentJemima Pole-Carew is unable to visit Wrest as she is going to the Worcester music meeting. from there she intends to return to town by Warwick, and will perhaps take in Hadley. Reference to Jemima's three 'plump, well grown daughters. They are fine and good humoured girls.' Mrs Carew's want of strength both of eyes and body prevented her joining walking parties with her children, but on the whole she looked well. Dined at Castledich [Herefordshire; home of the Cocks family] and met Reginald Cocks, his lady [Anne], just returned from Dublin. Mention of Lord & Lady Hardwicke in Dublin and the 1803 Irish Rebellion. Leave Forthampton in a few days and return to Ely via London.
