  • Title
Does not think the tenant Eames [at Houghton Regis] will be such a fool as to stand in the way of of his Landlord and Mr Brandreth. However he might say that he would not leave his present house until his agreement expires in 1850, or that as his grassland has been taken away, leaving him with a purely arable farm which does not suit him, he intends to go elsewhere after 1850 and declines to move into a new house and premises for only two years from 1848. Mr Brandreth's lease might have to be amended to cover this. Norris has refused to sell his cottage and land near Ridgmont Station, or to transfer his license - "he might just as well have put £50 in his pocket". Hendry (?) will open the Railway Inn. (2 sheets and covering note.)
