  • Scope and Content
A handwritten letter from Prince Henry Emiko in Nigeria to Honora Grimmer (addressed from the Motor Engineering Section of the Government Technical College in Sapele): "Dear Grimmer, I am back from holidays after many days from school. I cannot relate how I spent it now, but it was fairly spent. This Magazine, am sending you, is specially based on the celebration of Self Government for Western Nigeria. You will find it very interesting as you go through the pages. On the cover, you can see women dancers. They are from Warri and of my own tribe. Warri is popular for two things, i.e. footballing and dancing. On page six, my arrow points to my former Principal, Mr W Gardner. Who was promoted from our school to Ibadan. As an assistant Director of Technical Education. You can see many distinguish Personalities of Western Nigeria and the Princess Royal. How would it have looked like, if you have got my photograph. Many thanks, Henry a.m. Emiko" [Accompanied by the magazine referred to above, entitled "Western Nigeria Illustrated", containing many photographs of the Princess Royal's visit to Nigeria.]
