    Letter from Elizabeth Yorke, Lady Hardwicke to Lady de Grey. Lord Hardwicke proposes to extend the house. He has not forgotten Lady de Grey’s wishes, and has instructed the architect Mr Soane to sacrifice the proportion, in height at least, so as not to obstruct a particular view. Reference to the lowering of a party wall.

    Writer has had letters from the Caledons from Milan; they are probably now at Florence and will proceed to Naples and then to Rome and will return to England in the summer.
