In the name of God, Amen. I THomas Underwood of Harlington in the County of Bedford Yeoman being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, praise God for it, do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say First I Will that all such just debts that I shall justly owe at the time of my decease and my funeral charges and expences be in the first place paid and satified by my executors hereinafter named. Also I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Ashby the wife of Thomas Ashby of Milton Bryant in the County of Bedford labourer the sum of fourty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to her executors or administrators within three months next after my decease. Also that all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever after payment of my just debts legacies and funeral expences I give devise and bequeath the same unto Thomas Carr the son of John Carr of Milton Bryant in the County of Bedford blacksmith and to James Nash of Harlington aforesaid, weaver, and to Elizabeth his wife to them their executors administrators and assigns equally to be divided amongst them share and share alike And I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Thomas Carr and James Nash joint executors of this my Last Will hereby revoking and decalring null and void all former and other wills and testaments by me at any time heretofore made and do publish and declare this present writing contained in this sheet of paper to be and contain my last will and testament In witness whereof I the said Testator Thomas Underwood have to this my Last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this tenth day of April in the yeat of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven.
(This) writing was signed sealed published and delivered by the said (Testator) Thomas Underwood as and for his Last Will and Testament (in our) presence who have thereunto in his prescence and at his (request) and in the prescence of each other subscribed our names (and seals) thereunto/the words of Milton Bryant in the County of Bedford labourer between the fifth and sixth lines being first interlined

May 10th 1767 Thomas Carr and James Nash the joint executors above named were duly sworn in bedford me Thomas Birt, surrogate
This will was proved the 14th day of May 1767 before the reverend Thomas Birt, Clerk Surrogate to the Revd and Venerable John Taylor DD Commissary and Official of the Archdeaconry of Bedford Lawfully Consitituted and by him approved and allowed of and for the validity of the said will lawfully pronounced and declared and the burden of the execution thereof was and is committed to Thomas Carr and James Nash, executors named in the said will they being first sworn saving the right of every one etc
