    i) William Stapleton of No.10 Clarence Gardens, Regent's Park (county Middlesex), shoemaker; ii) Joseph Toller of Great Wilbraham (county Cambridgeshire), farmer; and iii) John Toller of Trumpington (county Cambridgeshire), farmer; [recites: A) Will of Timothy Marshall of Streatley, gentleman; dated 4 December 1801. ... Devised to James Gutteridge, esquire, John Clarke and William Wild, gentleman, all his freehold estates; charged with payment of debts, legacies and annuities. Bequeathed annuity of £20 to the children of Sarah Peal (then deceased, and late wife of Samuel Peal of Ellington (county Huntingdonshire), and £1,000 to be divided amongst them after the death of Timothy Lilley. B) Death of said Timothy Marshall in November 1802, (and Will proved 3 August 1803), who was seised of the Manor of Streatley-cum-Sharpenhoe, with a farm at Streatley, and the great tithes, and land in West Drayton (county Middlesex), and whose co-heirs were Timothy Lilley, Mary Bishop and Samuel Peal (son of Sarah Peal). C) Decree in Chancery, dated 2 December 1807, in 2 suits relating to the Administration of the estate of the said Timothy Marshall. D) Will of Timothy Lilley, died 8 September 1824. ... Devised to his eldest son Timothy Marshall Lilley, his third part of the estate of the said Timothy Marshall in Streatley and West Drayton; charged with payment of annuity of £60 to wife Elizabeth for dower, and an annuity of £800 to son Joseph (And death of Timothy Lilley on 16 October 1824). E) Death of Timothy Marshall Lilley on 25 October 1852, having made his Will dated 12 March 1849; whereby he devised all the said property to Frederick Day and Henry Cobb on trust. F) Appointment of John and Thomas Colston as new trustees of the Will of Timothy Marshall Lilley; dated 24 November 1852. G) Death of Mary Bishop, widow on 6 April 1823, having made her Will, dated 10 May 1806. ... Devised the moiety of her third part of the property in Streatley and West Drayton to Sarah Stapleton (then wife of William Stapleton, and since deceased) for life, and then to her children; and the other moiety to her daughter Susan Carter for life, and then to children. Both moieties to be charged with payment of annuities of £10 to grandchildren, Thomas Marshall Carter and Charlotte Carter, spinster (since deceased). H) Death of Sarah Stapleton in October 1835, leaving 2 children, William Stapleton (party hereto) and Mary Stapleton (died 13 June 1850). I) Quitclaim, dated 7 November 1825: Thomas Marshall Carter and Samuel Lewis and wife Charlotte (born Carter), to William Stapleton and wife Sarah, and Susan Carter ... in the said share of Mary Bishop and the annuities under her Will. J) Deaths of Charlotte Lewis in 1835, leaving her brother Thomas Marshall Carter ; of Samuel Peal (the son) in 1810, leaving 3 sisters Elizabeth Knowles, Sarah Stanley and Mary Sharman; of Elizabeth Knowles in 1823, leaving heir Samuel Knowles (eldest son); of Samuel Knowles in 1834, leaving brother Richard Knowles as heir; and of Mary Sharman in 1826, leaving heir Samuel Sharman (eldest son). K). that by the Decree C) Sir John Rollope, baronet, and John Fox, esquire, were created trustees of the said Will of Timothy Marshall, and that by Lease and Release dated 1 and 2 February, the said James Gutteridge, William Wild and John Clarke conveyed the said premises to Sir John Rollope, John Fox and John Clarke; all of whom died, John Clarke leaving Jane Higgin (wife of Robert Higgin) and Sophia Minton (wife of Samuel Minton), his co-heiresses. L) Decretal Order in Chancery, dated 30 May 1854, in 2 suits "Colston versus Lilley" and "Stapleton versus Carter"; that the estate be sold and the money banked to credit of the 2 causes. M) Order in Chancery, dated 17 November 1854, in the said suits; that William Stapleton (party hereto) be appointed trustee of the Will of Timothy Marshall. N) That Joseph Toller purchased the Manor, farm and tithe rentcharges in Streatley, by auction sale, dated 30 May 1854. O) Order in Chancery, dated 12 April 1855, that Joseph Toller should pay £10,195..9s..10d into the bank to the credit of previous Order. P) that Joseph Toller transferred the benefit thereof to John Toller, on receipt of purchase money]. ... The Manor of Streatley-cum-Sharpenhoe; the Lower or Streatley Bury Farm, with 404 acres 39 perches of land; in occupation of William Woodham and Francis Davis; and the rentcharges issuing thereout, in lieu of the great tithes.
