Scope and Content
Parties:
(i) Richard Marriott, late of Brook Street, Saint George’s, Hanover Square [Middlesex], now of Crown Street, Westminster [Middlesex], esquire;
(ii) Rev Julius Hutchinson of Bowes Farm, Edmonton [Middlesex];
(iii) William Sheldon of Gray’s Inn [Middlesex], esquire
Reciting:

- John Schutz was dead having had no issue by Mary, his wife and she was now entitled to the rent of £344 subject to payment of interest on £4,231/8/;
- (i) borrowed several sums from Elizabeth Caroline Fox amounting to £7,000;
- AN29/56;
- deed polls of (i) of 5 July 1790 and 1 March 1793 charged the mortgaged premises with repayment to Foster Bower of two sums of £1,000 each;
- £10,000 was still owing to Foster Bower but all interest had been paid;
- (ii) had contracted purchase of the mortgaged premises from (i), the Manor of Astwick being subject to payment of the annuity of £344 to Mary Schutz;
- (ii) had made a bond to secure payment of £5,500 to (i) at 4½% interest
Operative Part:
- (ii) paid £500 to (i);
- (ii) secured payment of £5,500 to (i) by bond in purchase of equity of redemption;
- (i), by direction of (ii), released (a)-(j) to (iii)

(b) advowson of Little Barford;
(c) right of free fishing in Great Ouse at Eaton Socon and Tempsford;
(d) site of the capital messuage;
(e) 271 acres, 2 roods 9 perches in occupation of William Emery;
(f) farmhouse with closes of arable, meadow and pasture containing 266 acres, 1 rood, 5 perches in occupation of John Peck;
(g) farmhouse with closes of arable, meadow and pasture containing 267 acres, 17 perches in occupation of Edward Peck;
(h) several cottages in occupation of Edward Emery, John Selby, William Landon, [blank] Lewis, William Beby, Edward Wells, John Darlow, Richard Emery, George Pell, Thomas Peck and Martin Croucher;
(i) quit rent of 13/4 issuing out of lands late of Thomas Tingey in Little Barford;
(j) quit rent of 2/4 issuing out of lands late of Ashcombe [Oliver Ayshcombe?] in Little Barford and Eynesbury
Habendum:
- to (iii), to the use of (i) subject to payment of £10,000 to Foster Bower and subject, jointly with Manor of Astwick of payment of annuity of £344 to Mary Schutz

- for equity of redemption by (ii) of £5,500 to (i)
