    Parties: (i) Richard Marriott, late of Gray’s Inn [Middlesex], now of Lower Brook Street, Saint George’s, Hanover Square [Middlesex], esquire; (ii) Elizabeth Caroline Fox of Binfield [Berkshire], widow; (iii) Samuel Denison of Staple’s Inn [Middlesex], gentleman Reciting: - AN29/51 and endorsement; - indenture of 10 February 1785 between (1) Richard Marriott and (2) Elizabeth Caroline Fox reciting that (1) requested (2) to sell out bank stock etc. to pay Elizabeth Ashhurst which (1) would replace in six months; she sold out £3,000 of bank stock on 11 January 1785 at £112/5/-% which produced £3,263/15/- and on 10 February 1785 sold £700 in £115/15/-% stock which produced £808/13/- making together £4,172/8/- paid to Elizabeth Ashhurst and in which (1) covenanted to repay (2) £3,700 in bank stock by 19 July 1785; - deed poll of 12 September 1785 reciting £4,172/8/- remained owing by Richard Marriott to Elizabeth Caroline Fox but all interest had been paid and reciting that Richard Marriott had borrowed a further £768/12/- from Elizabeth Caroline Fox secured by bond and witnessing that Richard Marriott secured this further advance on his Bedfordshire manors; - £5,000 remained outstanding to (ii) but all interest had been paid; - (i) had need of a further £1,200; - the value of bank stock had increased considerably since 10 February 1785 so that the expense in replacing the £3,700 bank stock would exceed the sum it produced on sale by £1,300 and was fluctuating and (i) wished to reduce the incumbrance on his estate to a certainty and proposed to cancel the clause binding him to replacing the stock by allowing her compensation of £800 as difference between the debt and the price of replacing the stock; - (i) had made out a bond for £4,000 as security for repaying the £1,200 further advance and £800 compensation Operative Part: - (i) covenanted that the Manors of Little Barford and Astwick in would now also stand charged with the further payment of £2,000 ; - (i) made (iii) his attorney Witnesses: - Christopher Norris of Lincoln’s Inn; - Richard Richardson of Staple’s Inn
