The house which Lady Lucas purchased of Mr Dyke can only be annexed to the Living by deed enrolled which must take effect immediately after the execution. It is not material in what words the bequest to the Bedford Infirmary is expressed, it being merely a personal legacy. Has received Mr Shadwell's opinion on the abstract of the Leicestershire title, and encloses copy [present]. Notes Lady Lucas' observation respecting Jervis' bill. Expects to receive Whatley's remittance; it will be less this year 'by the amount of his Law Bill,' about £20
