    Will of Henry Tingey of Little Barford, gentleman: - devising all real estate in Southoe and Doddington [Huntingdonshire] to his youngest son Thomas charged with payment of an annuity of £10 to testator’s wife Mary; - devising all real estate in Eaton Socon, Little Barford, Hail Weston [Huntingdonshire] and Saint Neots [Huntingdonshire] to his eldest son Henry charged with payment of a £15 annuity to testator’s wife Mary; - bequeathing his “beurtan” and silver tankard to his son Henry; - bequeathing to his wife the bed and all furniture in his best chamber and his two best beds, bedding and furniture and a half part of his brass, pewter and linen; - bequeathing £400 each to his daughters Susanna, Lucy and Elizabeth when they became 21; - bequeathing the residue of his personal estate to his son Henry whom he made sole executor and appointing his wife to be his guardian until he became 21, also making her guardian for Thomas until he became 21, nominating his brother-in-law Thomas Rolfe, son-in-law John Pedly and friend Loftus Hatley of Saint Neots to succeed her on her death or remarriage; - if his personal estate was not sufficient to make up the legacies to his daughter then the shortfall was to come from the real estate devised to Henry; - if either of his sons died before becoming 21 then their real estate would be chargeable with payment of £100 each to his three daughters when they became 21; - bequeathing £10 to John Pedly and Mary, his wife, the testator’s daughter, to buy mourning; - bequeathing £5 each to his wife and children Susanna, Lucy, Elizabeth, Henry and Thomas to buy mourning; - bequeathing two guineas each to Thomas Rolfe, John Pedly and Loftus Hatley to buy rings; - bequeathing £10 to his servant Thomas Ireland and £10 to Elizabeth, daughter of Henry Adams of Little Barford when she became 21; - his wife, during her period of trust, was to pay herself her annuities out of the profits of the real estate and his daughter Susanna (to whom testator’s wife was only mother-in-law) was to have interest for her £400 in lieu of her part of the profits of the real estate until she became 21; - witnesses: John Hooper; James Small; Samuel Luke; - attached probate of 2 November 31 in PCC
