    Parties: (i) Sarah Rycroft of Great Barford, widow of John Rycroft, yeoman and Thomas Rycroft of Great Barford, tailor, son and heir of John; (ii) William Pedly of Sutton, yeoman Operative Part: - (i) demised to (ii) for £12 Property: (a) several parcels meadow in Great Meadows, Great Barford in occupation of Sarah Rycroft containing 3 acres Habendum: - to (ii) for 500 years paying a peppercorn rent Proviso: - for equity of redemption by (i) - interest not given Witnesses: - Simon Staughton; - Samuel Luke Memorandum: “the purchase Deeds and title Deeds relating to this Estate were lodged in the house of John Samwell in Great Barford the said Sarah Rycroft being often from home and the house she lived in being a lone house distant from the towne were left at the said Samwell’s house as a greater place of security but a fire happening at the said Samwell’s in March 1739 the said writings with divers effects of other possessions were then burnt & consumed by the said fire the truth of which wee know and witness our hands Simon Staughton and Samuel Luke
