  • Scope and Content
    Appoints brother Thomas Burbidge and friend William Lee both of Barton executors. Executors to sell property consisting of farming stock, household furniture (except anything thought useful to her children) and monies raised to pay off funeral expenses, debts and mortgage for £300. Gives in trust to executors - freehold ground, part of orchard and part of garden ground now in occupation of Thomas Burbidge. - 6 tenements adjoining now in the occupation of Sarah Reynolds, William Ansell, Thomas Roberts, George Peck, James Gregory and John Warren. Rents to be devoted to bringing up of testator's children which have not reached 21 years. When youngest child becomes 21 ground and tenements to be sold and all monies be equally divided between the eight children namely: Ann, James, John, Mary Ann, Emma, Eliza, Selina and George Burbidge Valentine. Should any of the children die their share to be equally divided among the rest. Should any come to 21 be married and die before they have received their share then their share to their heirs or assigns. Power to executors to give to children any sum or sums of money for their advancement in life upon the codition that it be accounted as part of their share. Proved on the oaths of Thomas Burbidge and William Lee estate did not amount to the sum of one hundred pounds.
