    Parties: (i) Rev Richard Hitchin Whitehurst of Westoning and Mary Ann, his wife; Jane Bell of Bedford, spinster; John Parker of Bedford, gentleman and Susanna, his wife (Mary Ann Whitehurst, Jane Bell and Susanna Parker being heirs at law of Philip Beach of Bedford, esquire, deceased; (ii) John Barratt Biggs of Bromham, miller; (iii) Joseph Halstead of Hitchin [Hertfordshire], gentleman Reciting: - (i) out (a) up for sale by auction as Lot 4 on 14 October 1803 at Red Lion, Bedford at which (ii) was highest bidder Operative Part: - (i) released (a) to (ii) for £116; - William Whitworth [sic (iii)] gave 10/- to (i) Property: (a) building in Bedford, Saint John, now used as a corn exchange measuring 40 feet E-W and 18 feet N-S bounded: N by garden in occupation of Mary Fletcher; S by (b); E by barn of John Cook; W by yard and premises of Edward Chapman; (b) plot of land in front of (a) measuring 42 feet E-W and 30 feet N-S With right of egress and regress through and over gateway and yard of adjoining premises bought by John Cook from the common street to (a)-(b) and use of pump and well of water in the yard now of John Cook Habendum: - to (ii), to the use of any deed of (ii), to the use of (ii) for life, to the use of (iii) during the life of (ii), in trust for (ii), to the use of (ii) for ever Covenants: - by (i) to produce deeds; - by (i) to levy a fine sur cognizance de droit come ceo etc Witnesses: - Theed Pearse; - William Brown - Joseph Eade
