Extract from the court rolls showing the title of Alfred Henry Tarleton, Breakspear's, Uxbridge, Middlesex, to a messuage etc. at Tartlett's End, Cranfield, formerly in the occupation of Martha Meyhew, deceased, and of which William Foster, surviving trustee of Martha, died seised, and which is as yet unclaimed. So Alfred Henry Tarleton as Lord, has taken it into his own hands, and has rented it to Sarah Coles who has occupied it for many years
