Reciting:
- lease, appointment and release of 26-27 July 1810 between (1) John, 6th Duke of Bedford; (2) (ii), then Francis, Marquis of Tavistock and Maria, his wife; (3) Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington; (4) William Adam and William Drewe; (5) John Fitzpatrick, 2nd Earl of Upper Ossory; William Adam; (6) Edward Adolphus Saint Maur, 11th Duke of Somerset; Charles Stanhope, Viscount Petersham [later 4th Earl of Harrington] in which (a) and other hereditaments were limited to the use of (5) for 2,000 years from the death of (2) upon trust that if (2) had children beside an eldest son that (5) should raise sums of £10,000 for each other child, the term ending when the duties had been performed of made unnecessary;
- lease, appointment and release of 20-21 July 1824 between (1) John, 6th Duke of Bedford; (2) (ii); (3) William Russell (since deceased) brother of (1) and William George Adam, esquire; (4) William Russell, George William Russell and William George Adam; (5) Thomas Thynne, 2nd Marquis of Bath and Henry Richard Vassall Fox, 3rd Baron Holland; with appointment of 20 June 1829 endorsed upon it between (1) John, 6th Duke of Bedford; (2) (ii); (3) William Russell and William George Adam; and an appointment of 21 March 1834 between (1) John, 6th Duke of Bedford; (2) (ii); (3) William Russell and William George Adam; in which (a) was settled to the term of 2,000 years and trusts thereof and to certain other charges, none of which affected it, to the use of Thomas, Marquis of Bath and Henry, Baron Holland for 1,500 years from 22 July 1824 to the use of the will of Francis, 7th Duke of Bedford, to the use of Francis, 7th Duke of Bedford for life, with powers for William Russell and William George Adam to sell with the duke’s agreement any land except Woburn Abbey and Woburn Park;
- (i), with the consent of (ii) had contracted sale of (a) to (iii)

- (iii) paid £383/6/8 to (i) by direction of (ii);
- (i), with the consent of (ii), made void all trusts in (a);
- (i) and (ii) directed and appointed (a) to (iii)
Property:
(a) piece of ground in Bedford, Saint Paul and Bedford, Saint Peter de Merton, part of the former Dovehouse Close containing 8,000 square feet and bounded: N or NE by Offa Street; W or NW by a new road [Harpur Street] of 50 feet width recently formed out of the close and leading from Offa Street to the rear of almshouses belonging to the Harpur Charity; S or SW by a new road of 20 feet width [Dame Alice Street] formed out of the close leading to the E side of the previously new road; E or SE by part of the close sold to Dilley
Habendum:
- to the sue of any deed of (iii); to the use of (iii) for life; to the use of (iv) during the life of (iii) in trust for (iii); to the use of (iii) for ever
