- Scope and ContentNote: The Potton Brewery appears in directories from 1894 to 1920. It went into voluntary liquidation in or soon after 1920. The buildings in King Street were taken over by the Potton Co-operative Society by 1923. T B Kitchener and Company, steam plough works, founded by Thomas Benbow Kitchener, uncle of George Kitchener, were quite a separate concern; they were left by T B Kitchener to G Kitchener (grandfather of D Kitchener), and went into voluntary liquidation in 1926 [see also X309]
