  • Scope and Content
Eleanor and the writer are still ill. Eleanor has a more serious bilious attack than she has had for a long time. Thanks Lady Lucas again for allowing the family to use her houses in Putney and at Wrest. Plans to go to Wrest about the 26th of the month. Reference to the rooms they would use at Wrest. Mention of the flowers in the garden at Putney. 'Mr Robinson is in a considerable fuss on the subject of the Cambridge election - there have been 9 candidates off and on and he himself was prepared to make a 10th; just now there are but 4.... It seems generally supposed that Lord Hervey (Lord Bristol's son) will be successful... it is rather indecorous that the University election should be such a scene of confusion.''
