    To eldest son Robert Henry: Dwelling house at Fairfield and land adjoining. And residue of term of lease of property at Eyeworth and stock and crop belonging to 2 sons R H and C S Lindsell all lands held at trustee or mortgages. Residue of estates to 2 sons. To wife Frances: annuity, which with marriage settlement is to add up to £500 per annum clear and bequeaths to her £5000 and so much furniture etc. as she may reasonably require for her future residence. (Residue to R H Lindsell). To unmarried daughter Frances £3000, to daughter Margaret wife of Reverend Henry Green £5000. (if dies within testator's lifetime reversion to all her children). £5000 to children of late daughter Caroline Catherine (wife to John Samuel Knox). Residue to 2 sons equally. Witnesses: William Hawkins of Hitchin and James Draper, butler to Mr Lindsell. Made 24 September 1856, proved Prerogative Court of Canterbury 17 February 1857.
