"...I have come to the conclusion that it is useless giving these Market Garden tenants time as they invariably fail to keep their promises". Letter from solicitor 14 December 1896 states J Huckle has practically nothing " ... has been tenant of the land for over 20 years at an exceptionally high rent, and after that time finds himself worse off than when he began". High Court proceedings taken against J Huckle and F N Cocking, 1896-7.
