"To Messrs Henry Richard James Swaffield and Samuel John Swaffield: I hereby give you notice that by an Indenture made the 11th day of February 1909 between Charles Randolph Glover and Sidney Marshall Glover, the executors of Patience Marshall deceased of the one part and me of the other part endorsed on an Indenture of Mortgage dated the 14th day of March 1901 and of which mortgage you duly received notice dated the 15th day of March 1901, the prinicpal sum of £50 and interest secured by the said Indenture of Mortgage and the reversionary interest and premises assigned by and comprised in the same Indenture were assigned unto me absolutely subject to such right or equity of redemption as was then subsisting therein.
