    Parties: (i) Robert Palmer of Cople, blacksmith and Agnes, his wife; (ii) Thomas Arnald of Ampthill, gentleman and Thomas Sendall of Goldington, yeoman Operative Part: - (i), previous to a marriage between Thomas Palmer their son and Mary, daughter of Thomas Langley, deceased, to provide Mary with a jointure enfeoffed (a)-(b) to (ii) Property: (a) cottage in Cople in occupation of (i) with adjoining close of pasture now divided into two parts and containing 3 acres; (b) 1 acre of land in Windmill Field shooting E on Midsummer Mead and W on Cardington Field Habendum: - to (ii) to uses: half the shop, little parlour and room next to it, buttery adjoining and little orchard and hempland adjoining to the use of Thomas and Mary Palmer for the life of the longest lived, after their death to the use of heirs of Thomas begotten on the body of Mary, in default of which to the heirs of Thomas Palmer; the remainder of cottage and land to the use of (i) for their lives and after the death of both to the use of Thomas and Mary Palmer for the life of the longest lived, after their death to the use of heirs of Thomas begotten on the body of Mary, in default of which to the heirs of Thomas Palmer Robert and Agnes Palmer both signed by mark Witnesses: - Richard Smith; - Edward Walker
