    Reference to books and the library. There are three more peafowl to send to Lady Lucas, then the stock for the season will be exhausted. Blayney Balfour [married Lady Florence Cole] and Arthur Magenis have come to visit. [Arthur Magenis married Elizabeth Ann Cole] Mama and Papa still very unwell; their colds are still very violent. Mr Wellesley has returned 'he looks wretchedly ill....seems to be very low and much out of spirits.' Uncle Enniskillen has just lost his only daughter 'after a long and most painful illness of the heart' [Refers to Lady Jane Anne Louisa Florence Cole, daughter of John Cole, 2nd Earl of Enniskillen]. 'I fear my aunt Florence and her daughters will suffer in health from it as they have been nursing and attending her for a very long time - and for the last few months have known that her case was helpless.
