- Scope and ContentBorrows Fanny's hand to write, confined to bed with erysipelas which seized her on last days of journey, laid up at Welsh inn and would have delayed at Holyhead but anxiety to get home made her venture across sea. On arrival in Dublin physician warned of danger of pursuing journey with face the size of full moon and color of a peony. Is in fair way to be restored to health. Has been delayed nearly a month by contrary winds and untoward accidents waiting brother Lovell's arrival at Mr. Mortlich (?) near Birmingham. Had consolation of knowing Aunt Ruxton convalescent. Forgot to say the perfumes the little lamp was to burn were to be liquid not solid.
