- Scope and ContentApologies for opening enclosed packet and for mutilated appearance, put into my hands at dusk some days ago, thought it was a bill or petition, opened it but saw 'compts to Miss Edgeworth' & immediately closed it, could not obtain a frank till now, too heavy. Miss Grant fat & blooming, left Saturday for Clifton to visit her sister. Eldest Brother disposed of third daughter. He & Lady Grey well pleased with new Son-in-Law, Captain Barrington (RAC), son of Lord Barrington's. All own children well, eldest daughter now fixed with her nice family in Harley Street, Mr Waldegrave having brought house there.
