    Copy of Will of Mrs Mary Ann Grimmer, of No. 4 Bideford Terrace, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, widow. Bequests: - to Anna Sarah Mary Playford Grimmer, her messuage No. 8 Malborough Terrace, Great Yarmouth, occupied by Mrs Kerridge, her cottage in No.3 row, Great Yarmouth, occupied by Hales, with their appurtenances; then to her heirs and assigns forever absolutely - to Catherine Holmes Francis, her messuage No. 54 Pier Terrace, Great Yarmouth, occupied by Miss Worship, with its appurtenances; then to her heirs and assigns absolutely - to Herbert Alexander Grimmer, her cottages in Beccles with the garden and appurtenances thereto belonging, occupied by Elliott and Reynolds; then to his heirs and assigns forever but subject to and charged with the payment of such principal and interest moneys as may at my decease be due upon any legal or equitable mortgage of the same premises - to Herbert Alexander Grimmer, her messuage and land at Thurlton in Norfolk, occupied by Eastough with the garden, marshes and appurtenances thereto belonging; then to his heirs and assigns forever absolutely - to George John Grimmer, her two cottages Nos. 169 and 170 High Street, Lowestoft with their appurtenances, occupied by Smith and Garner; then to his heirs and assigns forever absolutely - to George John Grimmer, £100 absolutely - to Edgar Robert Grimmer, her cottages at Norton in Norfolk, occupied by Mr Galer, with the garden and appurtenances thereto belonging; then to his heirs and assigns forever absolutely - to Edgar Robert Grimmer, £100 absolutely - to Anna Sarah Mary Playford Grimmer, £300 - equally between her two daughters, her wearing apparel, jewellery and personal ornaments and directs that in case they differ as to the division of the same, the decision of their brother Herbert Alexander Grimmer shall be final - to Anna Sarah Mary Playford Grimmer, her plate, linen, china, books, prints, pictures and other household effects - to Anna Sarah Mary Playford Grimmer, Catherine Holmes Francis and Herbert Alexander Grimmer, the residue of estate (after debts and expenses) to be divided equally between them as tenants in common - directs that any shares of her daughters under this will shall be paid to them for their separate use and on their respective sole receipts Executors: - Herbert Alexander Grimmer, son - Anna Sarah Mary Playford Grimmer, daughter - Catherine Holmes Francis, daughter Witnesses; - W Mallam - F S Rix signed 26th January 1882 deceased 27th January 1882 probate granted 13th March 1882 [There are two copies of this will, with the second annotated in pencil with: "For E R Grimmer to be put with the title deeds of cottages at Norton, Norfolk".]
