    So that her money should not be unproductive until this settlement was made, £500 and £1750 (part of Georgiana Elizabeth Alston's £3333..6s..8d) were invested by George Leeke Baker in his own name (but with consent of Georgiana Elizabeth Alston) upon 2 securities - 30 May 1844 between Edward Forward Sealy and George Leeke Baker - 17 June 1844 (as Z3/20) which i) confirms premium of £5..10s to keep on foot policy of assurance of £2000 of 11 May 1821, was paid by George Leeke Baker out of the trust monies in his hands, which i) also approves i) has nominated ii) to be trustees of her intended settlement from considerations of expense it is not intended immediately to vest mortgage debts of £500 and £1750 and securities in ii) £950 (further part of said £3333 etc.) has been invested by ii) (with consent of i)) upon sufficient security on 10 last (total £3251..10s) leaving £81..16s..8d which is being used in preparation of this deed and one of 30 August last (the costs of which exceed this amount but it has been accepted in full payment) now George Leeke Baker will stand possessed of said debts of £500 or £1750 on trust ii), as trustees, will pay out of interest and annual produce, during life of Henry Frederick Alston senior, the annual premiums of £51..10s and £29..5s (total £80..15s) payable on assurance policies of 11 May 1821 and 25 December 1825. Residue to i) Provision made in case of marriage of i) Signatures of i) and George Leeke Baker Endorsed Witnesses: Charles Baker, George Biggs 9 Dec 1844 Also Endorsed with memorandum: £500 advanced to G F Sealy has been repaid and was reinvested in a mortgage of 22 January 1846 between Justinian Alston and the trustees and secured by a policy of assurance on life of Justinian Alston. £1750 due from Justinian Alston junior was paid in month of January 1846 and £1400 (part of said sum) advanced to Anna Hepburn Alston, widow on a mortgage for £1300 dated 19 January 1846, and £100 on 30 January 1846 secured by policy on life of A H Alston £350 used on 27 January 1846 to purchase 3% reduced annuities £950 due from Charles John Kemerys Tynte, esquire (under deed of 10 October 1844) was repaid on 7 March 1847 and £350 (part of said sum) used to purchase 3% reduced annuities 29 July 1847 £677..19s..3d worth of said annuities sold to produce £600 advanced to Anna Hepburn Alston on a mortgage of 30 June 1847 and further secured by a policy of assurance signature of G E Alston 25 Nov 1847 With further memorandum: £500 secured on mortgage of 26 January 1846 was paid off on 13 July 1848 and on 8 November 1848 was used to purchase 3% Consols 20 January 1849 Consols and reduced annuities sold out and produced £1,220..10s..3d which was advanced on mortgage to Charles John Brandling, Middleton Hall, Yorkshire, and wife Henrietta, and secured by policy of assurance on life of said Henrietta Signature of G E Alston 25 Nov 1851 Also endorsed with Revocation and new appointment a) Georgiana Elizabeth Alston b) George Leeke Baker c) Charles Baker, Lincoln's Inn Fields, Middlesex, esquire b) is now sole trustee of said settlement a) revokes trusts regarding £500 and it is to be held in trust for c) annual income from other monies to be used in payment of premiums on life of Henry Frederick Alston senior Signatures of all Witnesses: H Morton Cotton, Thomas L Street 25 Nov 1851 Also endorsed with Appointment of new trustee 1) Georgiana Elizabeth Alston 2) George Leeke Baker 3) James Barber, 136 Leadenhall Street, London, esquire Henry Frederick Alston junior is dead now 1) appoints 3) as trustee in his place Signatures of 1) and 2) Witnesses: H F Alston, Thomas Barton, H Morton Cotton 11 May 1853
