    by memorandum of 6 April 1840, Sir Peter Payne charged his estates at Blunham with further payment of £1,500 Sir Peter Payne made his will dated 4 December 1841, by which he gave his freehold and copyhold estates at Blunham to iv) in trust for sale. He died 22 January 1843, leaving vi) his heir. Will proved on 22 March 1843 (Prerogative Court of Canterbury) said £1,859..16s..2d still remains owing to ii) on deed of 30 July 1835 [X616/8-9] £1,500 still remains due to iii) it is agreed that the freehold property is to be sold to v), and copyhold also in accordance to the custom of the Manor, subject to payment of £8 land tax and 40s per annum quit rent and subject also to the liability to repair the highway adjoining said estate, and the timber on it, for £4,250 Sir Peter Payne was never admitted to property surrendered on 17 July 1835 to make a perfect title to said copyhold property, vi) has agreed to release said property as is after mentioned now in consideration of - £1,859..16s..2d paid to ii) by v), by direction of iv) - £890..3s..10d paid to iv) by v) - £1,500 to iii) paid by v) at request of iv) (total £4,250) i), ii) and iii) by direction of iv) release to v) … Blunham House etc. … 17 acres ground etc. also iv) under the authority given by the will of Sir Peter Payne, sell to v) …13 acres 1 rood 30 perches copyhold land in Southfield in Blunham also ii) and iii) at request of iv) release to v) … said copyhold lands discharged from payment of £1,859..16s..2d and £1,500 signatures of all endorsed: receipt, witnesses
