Recites that Kent gave Petre leave to make or continue an avenue or road to Thorndon Hall, across Shenfield common; Petre has been at 'great charge and expense' in making and fencing the avenue 'and hath beautified the same by planting 181 trees on the sides, 4 trees at the top, 12 trees in the middle and 6 trees at the bottom of the avenue.'
